Pursuant to Proclamation No. 90, s. 2022 of the Malacañang Palace, August 28, 2023 (Monday), is a Regular Holiday in observance of National Heroes Day. Sorsogon State University (SorSU), the 𝙋𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙋𝙪𝙨𝙤, stands in solidarity with the country in recognition and commemoration of the struggles and triumphs of our national heroes in pursuit of Philippine Independence, as well as our modern-day Filipino heroes of today’s time.
On this note, please be informed that there shall be no classes and office operations on August 28, 2023 (Monday). Classes and office work will resume on August 29, 2023 (Tuesday).
SorSUeños, let us commemorate this meaningful annual holiday in honor of the unprecedented sacrifices, acts of patriotism, and altruistic contributions endured by our Filipino national heroes in their ordeal for Philippine independence.
