In its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and continual quality improvement, Sorsogon State University’s Doctor of Public Administration Program underwent a joint evaluation on May 23, 2025. The assessment, conducted by the Technical Panel for Public Administration, CHED Central Office – Office of Programs and Standards Development (OPSD), and CHED Regional Office V, was held at the SorSU Boardroom, Sorsogon City Campus.
The evaluation proceedings commenced with opening remarks delivered by Dr. Errol G. De Castro (Program Chair, DPA, MPA). This was followed by a statement of purpose presented by Dr. Karen I. Iniego (Education Supervisor II, CHED ROV) and a presentation of the program profile provided by Dr. Catherine A. De Castro (Director, Planning/Faculty DPA).
A documentation review and assessment were subsequently conducted by Dr. Roselle Jardin (Member, Technical Evaluator for Public Administration), Dr. Karen I. Iniego (Education Supervisor II, CHED ROV), and Mr. Noel Antonio F. Paz (Education Program Specialist II, CHED-OPSD). Their evaluation culminated in the presentation of feedback and observations, highlighting strengths and potential areas for enhancement. The event concluded with words of gratitude from Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs).
Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus), Dr. Leny D. Berdin (Chief Administrative Officer-Finance Division), Dr. Felisa D. Marbella (Program Chair, PhD Filipino), Dr. Susan F. Astillero (GS Coordinator, Research and IRO), Dr. Rafael J. Balicano (Faculty, Graduate School), Dr. Jenet B. Fuentes (Director, Quality Assurance), and Mr. Jaymark Samson (Head, Program Development & Standards) were in attendance during the assessment.
