On October 14, 2024, Sorsogon State University welcomed Dr. Karen I. Iniego from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office V for validation of its Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) applications. The validation centered on two key programs: the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) and the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSE), which took place in SorSU Dormtel, Sorsogon City Campus.
Before the validation process commenced, Dr. Karen I. Iniego (Education Supervisor II, CHED ROV), made a courtesy visit to SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus. Dr. Iniego was joined by Dr. Jenet B. Fuentes (Director, Quality Assurance), Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus), Dr. Maria Luisa P. Mirasol (Dean, College of Business and Management), Mr. Jaymark Samson (Head, Program Development & Standards), and Ms. Kristy Hara Ranera who also play vital roles in the evaluation process.
This event is essential for ensuring that the BSTM and BSE programs align with national educational standards, ultimately enhancing the quality of education provided to students.
