Ensuring Excellence: SorSU’s Internal Audit Team Evaluates Castilla Campus

On February 11, 2025, the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) team from Sorsogon State University (SorSU) conducted a comprehensive audit at SorSU Castilla Campus. The audit aimed to assess the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and prepare the campus for future external and certification audits.

The opening program began with Lead Internal Auditor, Mr. Jopet Vincent B. Medalla, introducing the purpose of the audit and presenting the members of the internal audit team. Prof. Andrew F. Detera, SorSU Castilla Campus Director, warmly welcomed the auditors and introduced the various process owners responsible for key operations within the campus.


Following this, the internal audit process commenced.


During the audit, the team conducted in-depth interviews with the process owners and thoroughly reviewed their procedures and documentation. The audit team collaborated with the campus staff to identify opportunities for improvement and areas to enhance operational efficiency. This audit reflects SorSU’s commitment to maintaining high standards of quality assurance through continuous evaluation and improvement of its systems.


The closing program marked the conclusion of the audit, where the IQA team emphasized the remark for continual improvement. SorSU Castilla Campus expressed gratitude to the audit team. In recognition of exemplary workplace management, the Office of the Dean of the College of Agriculture headed by Dr. Rochele N. Aragon received the Best Workplace Award.
