FROM Kurit-Lagting Art Collective: Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk Sorsogon Edition

Earlier today, the Kurit-Lagting Art Collective, a collaborative community of Bicolano artists united by their advocacies on human rights and the environment, in partnership with Delta Beta Omega (DBO) and the Concerned Artists of the Philippines Bicol Chapter (CAP Bicol), led the Sorsogon City edition of Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk, tagged as “the world’s largest global and social photography event.”

The walk started at the Sorsogon State University Pavilion and ended at Rompeolas. This year’s local theme, “Through the Lens of Truth: Responsible, Reliable, and Culturally Aware Storytelling,” emphasizes photography as both a creative and ethical practice—shining a light on truth, responsibility, cultural identity, beauty, and social issues.

The event also marked the launch of the Sorsogon Arts and Culture Online Magazine, an independent, community-based publication that showcases the province’s rich heritage, local artistry, cultural traditions, and critical perspectives on the arts.
