Information Dissemination on RA 11210: Strengthening Awareness of the Expanded Maternity Leave Law

In support of the implementation and dissemination of Republic Act No. 11210, also known as the Expanded Maternity Leave Law, information materials were distributed to different offices to strengthen awareness and ensure proper understanding of the policy.

This initiative aims to promote employee welfare by ensuring that all concerned personnel are well-informed of their rights and benefits under the law, fostering a more supportive and gender-responsive workplace within the institution.

In partnership with the SorSU Public Information Office (PIO) and in line with the launching of the SorSU Pink Room, this activity was commemorated through the distribution of Expanded Maternity Leave Law IEC materials across various offices.

The distribution was facilitated by Ms. Roxanney Ayo, OGAD Staff, together with Ms. Glady Joy Mellan, GAD Coordinator of Sorsogon City Campus, ensuring the effective dissemination of information on gender-responsive policies and programs.

This activity also serves as part of the Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives of the University, highlighting its continuous efforts to mainstream gender-responsive policies and programs in the workplace. By bringing this information directly to various offices, accessibility and understanding of the law are further strengthened among employees.

Through continuous information dissemination, we reaffirm our commitment to uphold labor rights, gender equality, and the well-being of every employee.
