To strengthen its research and extension initiatives, Libon Community College (LCC) conducted a benchmarking activity at Sorsogon State University (SorSU) on August 16, 2025, held at Augusto’s Hall, SorSU Dormtel, Sorsogon City.
The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into SorSU’s research and extension programs, including how these are strategically managed and effectively implemented. The visit also aimed to explore SorSU’s best practices and innovative approaches, to support LCC in strengthening its Key Result Areas (KRAs) in research and extension.
The activity began with a welcome message and the introduction of participants from both institutions. SorSU presented an overview of its Research and Development thrusts, programs, and achievements. In turn, Libon Community College shared its initiatives and objectives for the benchmarking activity. The program included sharing of practices in research management, publication, and extension linkages.
An open forum was held at the end of the activity to allow for additional questions and idea sharing. The event concluded with both institutions recognizing the importance of continued collaboration and partnership in shared areas of interest. (SorSU PIO)
