Padagos 2023 with the theme, “Connect, Develop, Achieve, One SorSU Bulan” triumphantly concluded as the participants broke down barriers and formed a harmonious relationship. The momentous event was participated by various student organizations in Sorsogon State University – Bulan Campus on November 10-11, 2023.
The activity was initiated by the UPS President, Mr. Mel-Jhun Evangelista, in collaboration with the other Presidents of the organizations in SorSU-BC with the purpose of amplifying relationships and diminishing hindrances between organizations to avert conflicts and foster healthier partnerships.
The recognized organizations who bridged the gap, built camaraderie, and took part actively in the event are the following:
– Supreme Student Council (SSC),
– Union of Public Servants (UPS),
– Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES),
– Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA),
– Computing Society (COMSOC),
– Sports Kinetics Club (SKC),
– SorSU Theatre Arts N’ Dance (STAND),
– Christian Brotherhood International (CBI),
– National Service Training Program (NSTP) Kaagapay,
– College Red Cross Youth Council (CRCYC),
– Reserved Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Unit, and
– The Freethinker (TFT), the Campus Publication of SorSU-BC
Cultivating a more positive perspective towards leadership and collaboration, SDS coordinator, Mr. Rytzz Obsum and Mr. Erwin Formento, SorSU-University Student Council President, equipped the participants with comprehensive and astounding lectures regarding developing relationships, nurturing leadership skills, empowering self-awareness, and all the key concepts to fire up all the organizations to keep working with their goals.
The University was filled with enthusiasm and excitement on the next day of the event as participants delved into thrilling survival activities fostering teamwork, adherence, and perseverance. The adrenaline-packed activity brought the organizations together, laying the groundwork for bridging the gaps and breaking down barriers between the organizations in SorSU-BC.
SorSU-BC Student Council President, Ms. Claudine Napili, served as the event’s head committee, guaranteeing the efficient and coordinated flow of all activities. Along with all the facilitators, which include the current and former student leaders.

Filled with enthusiasm and excitement, participants delved into thrilling survival activities on the next day of PADAGOS 2023: fostering teamwork, adherence, and perseverance on November 11, 2023, at Sorsogon State University – Bulan Campus.
The adrenaline-packed activity brought the organizations together, laying the groundwork for bridging the gaps and breaking down barriers between the organizations. Participants actively engaged in the pulsating team-building, acknowledging and respecting their differences; promoting collaboration rather than competition.
College Red Cross Youth Council (CRCYC) actively committed to the event to ensure the safety of all participants. Alongside with Reserved Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Unit for assisting in the preparation of every station for team building activity.

Despite the oppressive heat, participants remained tenacious and motivated to overcome the obstacles at each station. Embracing the essence of camaraderie and teamwork in their team-building journey.
Padagos 2023 thrivingly unified and strengthened the link between all the organizations of Sorsogon State University – Bulan Campus (SorSU-BC). Throughout the event, participants carried the remarkable quote from the former Supreme Student Council President, Mr. Jan Garais, “SorSU-Bulan Padagos, Ayos na Ayos.”

PADAGOS 2023: Unveil Aptitudes; Exhibits Unity
Following the sweltering action-packed activities, participants began preparing and cooking their lunch meals traditionally, which empowered teamwork and tested their capacities to prevail in difficult situations.
The cooking session took place at the Sorsogon State University – Bulan Campus (SorSU-BC) basketball court, where participants cheerfully indulged in their hard-earned lunches; sharing them with the hardworking facilitators as a symbol of unity and victory.
