PNSA-SorSU Chapter hosts blood type screening for university students

The Sorsogon State University-Philippine Nursing Students Association (SorSU-PNSA), successfully organized a pioneering blood type screening event on December 11, 2024, offering students from the Sorsogon City Campus the opportunity to determine their blood types. The initiative not only raised awareness about individual health but also improved preparedness for future medical needs.

A total of 506 individuals were successfully classified by blood type, with the PNSA-SorSU team working collaboratively to ensure the activity ran smoothly. Their leadership and teamwork were central to the event’s success.

The blood type screening program was conducted under the strict supervision of Mr. Francis O. Antonio (PNSA-SorSU Chapter Adviser/Nurse, HSU) and made possible through the guidance of Prof. Robert J. Jamisola (Dean, BS Nursing).

With impressive participation and a high number of clients served, the event achieved its goal of providing health information while reinforcing the university’s ongoing efforts to promote community health. Additionally, the event also marked a significant achievement for the team as it completed its first-income generating project. (SorSU PIO)
