RAATI Team holds Administrative & Tactical Inspection; SorSU-ROTC Unit declared regional champion

On May 28, 2024, the Regional Annual Administrative & Tactical Inspection (RAATI) Team headed by Col. Noel A. Cagasan GSC (INF) PA, evaluated the Sorsogon State University- Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit at the Sorsogon Sports Coliseum.

The event officially started with the opening remarks from Maj. Annamy N. Nero (OS) PA (505th CDC Director & SorSU ROTC Commandant) followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs). Proceeding with the event’s activities, the ROTC Commandant & RAATI Chairman facilitated the Turnover/Acceptance of ROTC Unit for Inspection.


Col. Noel A. Cagasan GSC (INF) PA (Chairman, RAATI 2024) provided the overview of RAATI initiative. After the RAATI Team was formally introduced, the Presentation of Memento & Certificate of Appreciation followed.


The ceremonial parade of the ROTC Corps of Cadets was a display of discipline and precision, showcasing the culmination of rigorous training. Indoor activities comprised Theoretical Comprehensive Examination and Military Stakes, while Outdoor activities included Company Drills and Tactics, culminating in the simulation of Disaster Response and Recovery Operations (DRRO). The said activities were intended to assess the operational readiness of the cadets and underscore the importance of preparedness in adversity.


After undergoing an intensive evaluation by the team of inspectors, the SorSU-Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC) Unit achieved an impressive victory, surpassing other schools in Region V to clinch the championship of the Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2024 with a score of 98.14 points.

Your discipline and collective efforts not only brought honor to the university but also raised the bar for ROTC excellence. Your triumph is a testament to the power of perseverance and teamwork.
