Overview

Sorsogon State University (SorSU) exemplifies a strong commitment to collaborative partnerships, not just at local and national levels but also at an international scale. By engaging and working together with diverse stakeholders and various institutions, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and local communities, SorSU aims to effectively achieve the shared global goals by reinforcing the means of implementation of SGDs toward a more sustainable society.

By participating and, at the same time, leading conferences and discussions that include various stakeholders, the University fosters collaborative solutions and shared responsibility for sustainable development. Likewise, SorSU displays an extensive network of international partnerships and cooperations, actively partaking in cross-sectoral dialogues and crafting best practices that address the SDGs. These global ties continuously improve SorSU’s capacity to contribute to global sustainability initiatives.

Through these extensive international collaborations and endeavors, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) is steadfast in contributing significant advancements in engagement and sustainability, fulfilling its mandate as an academic institution in promoting Goal 17 and furthering partnerships for global goals.

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for the 2030 Regional Meeting on Transforming the Futures of Education at Sunway University

Hosted by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the Malaysian Ministry of Education, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, embarked on an academic undertaking to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and took part at the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for the 2030 Regional Meeting on Transforming the Futures of Education, held at Sunway University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from July 2-4, 2024.
