Sorsogon State University-Castilla Campus Undergoes Program Assessment for Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness

On June 7, 2024, the Sorsogon State University-Castilla Campus had a pivotal event with the Program Assessment for the Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness. This assessment, conducted under the auspices of the Commission on Higher Education Region 5, represents a significant milestone in the academic progression of the BSAB program at SorSU Castilla.

The proceedings commenced with a series of engaging messages, setting the stage for a day dedicated to reflection and evaluation. Mrs. Mary Ann P. Caro, Program Chair of the BSAB program, delivered an insightful address, followed by an intellectually stimulating and inspirational speech from SorSU President Dr. Geraldine De Jesus, who emphasized the paramount importance of academic excellence and the institution’s vision.


Dr. Rochele N. Aragon, Dean of the College of Agriculture, played a crucial role in the event, formally introducing campus officials and extending heartfelt appreciation for their unwavering dedication and support.


Dr. Michael B. Mallari, Education Supervisor II from CHED, provided comprehensive insights into the evaluative process, underscoring its vital role in accrediting the program and ensuring its quality and relevance. He meticulously detailed the assessment criteria employed to validate SorSU Castilla Campus for the second-year Agribusiness program, thereby demonstrating the institution’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence and student success.


Subsequent to these insightful discussions, Dr. Mallari was afforded an illuminating campus tour led by Dr. Rochele N. Aragon and Prof. Andrew F. Detera. This tour offered a firsthand look at essential facilities pivotal for student learning and development, reaffirming SorSU Castilla’s dedication to providing immersive educational experiences.
