Sorsogon State University holds 1st Tech-Days Motor Show 2025

The Sorsogon State University-College of Technology (SorSU-COT), through its Student Organization of Automotive Technology (SOAT), in collaboration with the Technology Student Council, SorSU Rock Band, and Motortrade Sorsogon, successfully launched the 1st Tech-Days Motor Show 2025 on April 24, 2025, at the SorSU covered court. The motor show was one of the highlights of the university’s Technology Days celebration, designed to showcase the innovative spirit of students pursuing automotive technology.

The event officially opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Orlando D. Doncillo (Dean, College of Technology), followed by a live performance from the SorSU Rock Band.


With the theme, “Students in motion: Powered by Passion and Innovation,” the motor show competition served as a platform for students to demonstrate their skills and creativity in vehicle design and engineering. Entries were judged based on craftsmanship, innovation, and overall design. The judging panel consisted of Mr. Christian Joy P. Herrera (Mechanical Technology Instructor), Mr. Rico J. Belizario (Motortrade, Sorsogon Branch Manager), and Mr. Eli-Rey M. Borres (Automotive Technology Instructor).

The event concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Argel L. Placer (Adviser, Student Organization of Automotive Technology), who commended the students and organizers for a successful and well-executed motor show.
