Sorsogon State University (SorSU), through its Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM), successfully hosted the Multi-License Trademark Signing Ceremony on May 2, 2025, at the SorSU Boardroom. This event marked a significant milestone in the university’s ongoing pursuit of innovation, institutional integrity, and strengthened collaborative engagement.
The ceremony began with opening remarks from Dr. Ryan V. Dio (Vice President for Research, Extension and Training), who stated that the initiative would enhance service to the community and bring significant benefits to stakeholders. This was followed by an overview of the university trademark and its usage, delivered by Prof. Jezzabie G. Gamis (Unit Head, IPTBM). Additionally, Atty. Mary Joy C. Bongapat (Atty. IV, Legal Affairs) presented a summary of the terms and conditions outlined in the Licensing Agreement.
Prof. Romeo SE. Mendoza introduced the participating licensees, recognizing their roles in advancing the university’s entrepreneurial goals. The formal signing of the Licensing Agreements followed, solidifying the partnerships between the university and its industry partners.
The licensees, including Ms. May Navotas (Hundredfold Printing Services), Ms. Maribel H. Endonela (Integrated Visual Solutions, Inc.), Mr. Rizal B. Don (RK Digital Printing Services), Mr. Ryan Joshua M. Quinones (Supah Kid T-Shirt Printing Services), Ms. Avegail D. Estrella (Uniqueprints Graphics Design Services), and Mr. Jhonie E. Detera (Princess Jaidee Enterprises/Jaivee Graphics Design Services), each shared their messages expressing gratitude and support for the initiative.
The event concluded with a message from SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, who emphasized the importance of intellectual property in promoting sustainable development and building partnerships that support innovation and community development.
