SorSU and Sorsogon City Fire Station Hold 3-Day Fire Brigade Training

Sorsogon State University (SorSU), in collaboration with the Sorsogon City Fire Station, successfully conducted a three-day Fire Brigade Training aimed at strengthening student preparedness and safety awareness. The event was held from June 4-6, 2025, at the SorSU Social Hall, Sorsogon City Campus, and was participated in by student leaders and members from various university organizations.

With the theme “F.I.R.E. (Fostering Inclusive Resilience and Empower) Safety Training Version 3.0: Capacitating Student Leaders on Fire Safety for a Gender-Responsive, Disaster-Resilient, and Safe University,” the training focused on equipping students with essential skills in fire safety, basic life support, and emergency rescue operations.


The training forms part of SorSU’s ongoing commitment to promoting campus safety, leadership development, and disaster resilience. Through this initiative, the Pamantasang May Puso strengthens its role as a center of learning and a contributor to community safety and development. (SorSU PIO)
