With Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs) serving as the Presiding Officer, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) held a virtual Academic Council meeting via Zoom on February 24, 2025.
Among the items presented and deliberated were the following, to wit: (1) Proposed Graduate Program Manual of Operations, (2) Proposed Shelving of Master of Arts in Teaching major in Technology Education with specialization in Food and Service Management effective Midyear 2025, (3) Proposed Policy on Second Coursers: Admission Guidelines for Diploma in Midwifery Graduates Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, (4) Proposed Policy on Alternative Admission Test Schedules: Special Considerations for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Seventh-day Adventist Students, including special cases, (5) Confirmation of the Candidates for Graduation of the Graduate School and Tertiary Level of Sorsogon State University for 1st Semester, AY 2024-2025, (6) Proposed Academic Calendar, (7) Proposed Additional Medical Laboratory Requirement for Incoming Freshmen and Transferee Students, (😎 Proposed Grading System of Board Subjects with Laboratory of the College of Agriculture for Implementation this 2nd Semester, AY 2024-2025, (9) Project PDL: Pathways to Development and Liberation, (10) Proposed Curricula Enhancement of the Bachelor of Technology programs, (11) Proposed NSTP Manual, and (12) Proposed Midwifery Students’ Manual.
