Sorsogon State University (SorSU) continues to strengthen its international presence through a newly forged partnership with Universitas Negeri Semarang in Indonesia on June 25, 2026, which opens additional opportunities for academic cooperation and cross-border engagement.
Representing Sorsogon State University during the signing ceremony was SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, while Universitas Negeri Semarang was represented by Prof. Dr. Sugianto, M. Si. (University Secretary of Universitas Negeri Semarang).
The partnership covers a range of collaborative activities, including student and faculty mobility, joint research initiatives, academic program enhancement, training programs, and the conduct of conferences, seminars and workshops. These initiatives are expected to encourage the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two universities.
