In full adherence to the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) prescribed standards under Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 09, series of 2023, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) – Sorsogon City Campus has officially received the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from CHED Regional Office V, authorizing the offering of the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE) program starting Academic Year 2025–2026.
Anchored on CMO No. 101, s. 2017, the BSECE program emphasizes the design, development, and application of electronic, computer, and communication systems and devices, equipping students with the technical expertise to address complex engineering challenges and contribute to advancements in ICT.
This milestone marks a significant achievement for the College of Engineering and Architecture (COEA), which is now 100% COPC-compliant across all its programs —including BS Civil Engineering (BSCE), BS Mechanical Engineering (BSME), BS Electrical Engineering (BSEE), and BS Architecture (BSArch).
The SorSU community extends its congratulations to COEA Dean Engr. Rufu D. Durian III, program chairs, and faculty members for their outstanding dedication to academic excellence and quality assurance. (SorSU PIO)
