Sorsogon State University (SorSU), led by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, participated in Pagurulay-ulay 2026, a two-day conference organized by the Commission on Higher Education – Regional Office V (CHED-ROV) from May 5-6, 2026, at the Hotel St. Ellis, Legazpi City, Albay.
The event brought together key academic leaders from various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), aimed at providing a dynamic platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and strategic dialogue. It covered updates on administrative and technical divisions, as well as programs such as CMSP, UniFAST, GSD, HEMIS, and internationalization initiatives. The agenda also included discussions on curriculum templates and revisions, along with the launch of major projects led by Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr., CESO III (Regional Director, CHED-ROV), including BICOL GRID, BRIDGE, and CAFE.
Also present were SorSU top executives led by Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (VP for Academic Affairs), Dr. Olive N. Mancera (Dean, Education Dept.-Magallanes Campus), Engr. Ruel G.
