SorSU Fisheries and Aquatic Science Guild congratulates 14 Fisheries students for passing the 2024 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals

Sorsogon State University – Magallanes Campus and Fisheries and Aquatic Science Guild proudly congratulates 14 Fisheries students for passing the 2024 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals, with one achieving the prestigious distinction of being a topnotcher.

With the national passing rate at 66.6%, the Banner Program of Magallanes Campus surpassed the average, earning a historical 70% passing rate. This achievement reflects the strength and quality of education in the university’s Fisheries program. This milestone is a result of the collective efforts of the administration, faculty, and external partners. Special recognition goes to Campus Director Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza for her unending support and guidance, and the hands-on leadership of Prof. Elden G. Orgela, the handsome Program Chair of the Fisheries Department, as well as the dedicated faculty members Prof. Alvin P. Mayo, Prof. Mark Ariel D. Malto, Prof. Abel E. Arevalo Jr., Prof. Margielina Melintante, and Prof. Ruby Lambunao. The support of external lecturers from BFAR and other universities was also invaluable in guiding the students to success.

This milestone serves as an inspiration for all current Fisheries students, motivating them to persevere and excel in their studies, following in the footsteps of their Ate and Kuya.
