Sorsogon State University (SorSU), led by SUC President III Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, formalized a new international partnership with American International University-Bangladesh by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 22, 2026.
The ceremonial signing was held in Indonesia, with American International University-Bangladesh represented by Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, Founder Member of the AIUB Board of Trustees. The agreement reflects the two institutions’ commitment to promoting academic collaboration and strengthening institutional linkages.
Under the MOU, both institutions agreed to pursue areas of cooperation, including collaborative research initiatives, academic program development, curriculum enrichment, cultural and academic exchange activities, and participation in seminars and other scholarly engagements of mutual interest.
The partnership is expected to create opportunities for faculty members, researchers, and students to engage in cross-cultural learning and knowledge exchange while promoting innovation and academic excellence. (SorSU PIO)
