To foster awareness, strengthen leadership capacities, and advance inclusive practices within the institution toward a more equitable and empowering environment, officials from Sorsogon State University – Gender and Development (SorSU-GAD) and the Human Resource Management and Development Office, headed by Prof. Riche P. Duran (Director, SorSU-GAD) and Dr. Abner L. Dellosa (Head, HRMDO), participated actively in the Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Leadership Forum on March 20, 2025, at the Marison Hotel, Legazpi City, Albay.
The one-day leadership forum highlighted keynote presentations, including “Foundations of Inclusive Governance” by Ms. Maria Criselda Bisda (Consultant/Technical Adviser, GEDSI), “EODB-EGSD: A Framework for Inclusive Service Delivery” by Undersecretary Geneses R. Abot (Deputy Director General, Anti-Red Tape Authority), and “Building a Culture of Inclusivity & Integration Service Delivery” by Ms. Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano (Speech-Language Pathologist and Advocate for Accessible Healthcare and Rehabilitation). Additionally, the event also featured panel discussions, workshops, and Q&A segments.
Other participants from SorSU comprised SorSU-GAD Coordinators: Ms. Glady Joy M. Mella (Sorsogon City Campus), Ms. Krishia B. Lachicha (Bulan Campus), Mr. Albert Acuna (Castilla Campus), Mr. Abel E. Arevalo Jr. (Magallanes Campus), Angelo D. Domanico (Graduate School), along with SorSU-GAD Staff Ms. Roxanney L. Ayo and SorSU-HRMDO Personnel: Ms. Maricar D. Doctor (HRMDO), Mr. Kenneth A. Golimlim (HRMDO), Ms. Elaine Audrey Y. Callos (HRMDO), Ms. Elvie D. Deyto (HRMDO), and Ms. Maria Gracia Faviola Erlano (HRMDO).
