SorSU Graduate School hosts Turnover Ceremony of Students’ Research Outputs

Recognizing the scholarly contributions of students from various graduate programs, the Sorsogon State University Graduate School (SorSU-GS) held its Preserving Academic Legacy: Turnover Ceremony of SorSU Graduate School Students’ Research Output on February 24, 2025 at SorSU Dormtel, Sorsogon City Campus.

Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus), speaking on behalf of Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs), delivered the welcome remarks. Subsequently, Dr. Sherill A. Gilbas (Program Chair, PhD Language Education) introduced the Graduate School students/authors and advisers, faculty members, and guests.


In her recorded message, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus emphasized the importance of research in academic development. The ceremony continued with the Presentation of Research Outputs, where Dr. Susan S. Janer (Dean, Graduate School), together with Mr. Gerald E, Fulay (Vice President for Administration and Finance), awarded certificates to the student authors, in recognition of their research accomplishments.


The event included messages of acceptance from Dr. Cheryll V. Bermudo (Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, SDO Sorsogon Province), Dr. James Christian D. Nabong (Senior Education Program Specialist, DepEd Sorsogon City), and Ms. Benilda A. Recebido (Information Manager, PIA Sorsogon). The ceremony concluded with the Signing of the Pledge of Commitment, followed by closing remarks from Dr. Gerry S. Digo (Head, SorPReCe/Program Chair, MED, MAM-AS & EdELM).


The event highlighted SorSU’s commitment to advancing quality research and supporting continuous academic and professional growth.
