In a continued demonstration of its commitment to operational efficiency, Sorsogon State University, through the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Training, headed by Dr. Ryan V. Dio (VP for RET), successfully held the RET Staff Capacity Building and Quarterly Planning Workshop and Review of Accomplishments on May 13, 2025, at the SorSU Dormtel, Sorsogon City Campus.
The morning session focused on capacity building, particularly in utilizing AI applications for proposal writing, communication, data analysis, and report generation. It also strengthened staff understanding of proper budget preparation for requests and financial processing.
In the afternoon, the focus was on Quarterly Planning and Review of Accomplishments based on the FY 2025 operational plans. Participants assessed current progress, identified challenges, and formulated strategies to strengthen program implementation for the 3rd and 4th quarters of the year. The planning process also ensured that all RET initiatives remain aligned with SorSU’s Key Result Areas (KRAs).
The event was attended by Campus Directors, Dean-Graduate School, College Deans, R&D Director, E&T Director, PKM-Head, IPTBM Head, FabLab-Manager, and RET staff, reflecting SorSU’s proactive leadership in strengthening internal systems and promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability.
