SorSU holds USC Election 2025; SorSU-SSC Janoras elected as USC President

The Supreme Student Council (SSC) members from the four campuses of Sorsogon State University (Bulan, Castilla, Magallanes, and Sorsogon City) convened for the University Student Council (USC) Election 2025 today, October 21, 2025, at the Office of Sports, Culture and Arts Services, Student Services Building, Sorsogon City Campus, carrying the theme “One Student Body, One Vision, One Council.”

Mr. Ralph Laurence Janoras from the Sorsogon City Campus has been proclaimed the newly elected USC President, set to lead the new USC members in representing the student body. The list of the newly elected officers includes:


President: Ralph Laurence Janoras (Sorsogon City Campus)
Vice President: Claire Gime (Bulan Campus)
Secretary: Joshua Benedict Hate (Magallanes Campus)
Treasurer: Jenrose Mendez (Castilla Campus)
Auditor: Ricardo Jr. Amistoso (Magallanes Campus)
PIO: Joedilyn Ligad (Bulan Campus)
Business Managers:
Ivan Longasa (Magallanes Campus)
Frank Johan Villaflor (Magallanes Campus)


The event formally began with an opening message from Dr. Maria Crisanta M. Jarque (Director, Office of Student Development and Services), followed by a speech from Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs).


The outgoing USC President, Hon. Manuel V. Selencio, delivered the closing remarks, and certificates were also awarded to the outgoing USC officers.
