SorSU-ISO conducts Online Training Workshop on Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action Planning

On November 12-14, 2024, the Sorsogon State University’s International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Unit, under the leadership of Prof. Shirley G. Dicen (Head, ISO Quality Assurance Office), successfully conducted an Online Training Workshop focused on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action Planning via the Zoom platform.

The training was part of the university’s continuous efforts to enhance the effectiveness of its Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure adherence to internationally recognized standards. The workshop was designed to achieve two primary objectives: to familiarize all process owners with Clause 10.0 of the ISO standard and to equip participants with the knowledge to implement effective corrective actions.

The training was attended by university key officials and stakeholders, including Vice Presidents (VPs), Campus Directors (CDs), the SGS Dean, Staff Directors, Unit Heads, Deans, Program Chairs, and QMS Core Team Leaders. Also present were members of the QMS Internal Quality Audit Team, Campus Coordinators, and all Process Owners within the university. Their participation highlights the university’s commitment to involving key stakeholders in the effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring that quality standards are met across all levels of the institution.

The initiative is part of Sorsogon State University’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a proactive Quality Management System that meets both local and international standards. (SorSU PIO)
