SorSU-LHS Girl Scouts lead gift-giving initiative for 55 Grade 1 pupils of Bitan-o Elementary School

In a meaningful display of community spirit, fifteen (15) Sorsogon State University – Laboratory High School (SorSU-LHS) Girl Scout students, together with Prof. Maria Flora J. Renovalles (SorSU-LHS Department Head & Troop Leader), led the gift-giving initiative for 55 Grade 1 pupils at Bitan-o Elementary School, Brgy. Bitan-o, Sorsogon City on October 30, 2024.

Through generous donations, the LHS Girl Scouts were able to prepare and provide essential school supplies, toys, and snacks for the young learners, intending to not only kindle hope among the children but also support their educational needs following the devastation of Typhoon Kristine.

The LHS Girl Scouts’ efforts brought warm smiles and uplifted the spirits of Grade 1 beneficiaries, emphasizing the importance of community support as well as the spirit of giving and compassion in difficult times — values that the Girl Scouts organization proactively upholds and promotes.

A heartfelt appreciation to the following kind-hearted individuals whose generosity and contributions made the event possible: Dr. Ritzelda A. Deri, Dr. Sherill A. Gilbas, Prof. Maritess D. Carreon, Prof. Marigrace D. Carretero, Ms. Arlene Gerona, Ms. Rosa Dominguiano, and Ms. Ma. Salve Dreo. (SorSU PIO)
