The Students’ Orientation for Academic Year 2023-2024 happened yesterday September 6, 2023. Attended by the SorSU key officials headed by Dr. Geraldine F. de Jesus, SUC President III, Prof. Maria Crisanta M. Jarque, OSDS Director, Prof. Saturnino C. Carranza – SurSU DRRMO, Ms. Mary Anne J. Jintalan – Guidance and Counselling Services, Dr. Medin Nicolas, Head Health Services, and other department heads presented their respective functions and services.
Also, the respective coordinators of various offices as to Library Services, Registrar’s Office, Safety and Security Services, Scholarships and Financial Assistance Services, Sports, Culture and Arts Services Unit, GAD Office, ILDO Career Job and Placement, Program Chairs presented the school rules and policies. The orientation was highlighted with the introduction of the SorSU Magallanes Campus personnel specially welcoming the newly hired faculty members by Ms. Julie Ann Honrubia, Human Resource Management Officer.
Likewise, the candidates for Supreme Student Council of Magallanes Campus were given a chance to present their platform of government relative to the upcoming election. The orientation ended with an Open Forum for some queries and clarifications.
The activity was initiated by the Office of the Student Affairs and Services headed by Miss Joycelyn D. Labalan.
