The SorSU Magallanes Campus employees and students participated the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) last September 14, 2023.
Headed by Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza, Campus Director and Mr. Arvin H. Andes, DRR Coordinator together with SorSU Safety and Security personnel, Medical/Health Personnel as well as the Student Fire Volunteer Brigade, the activity was successfully facilitated by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Magallanes task force headed by Madam Nilda L. Conda, LDRRMO, Ms. Marygrace Collantes, AA VI EMR and Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) staff namely Ms. Janet M. Saba, Mr. Oscar F. Labalan Jr., Mr. Rommel A. Janoba, Mr. Resty D. Lucenario, Mr. Harold L. Lee, Mr. Arjay G. Cediňo, Mr. Mark Jay C. Mortega, Mr. Arnold T. Saba, Mr. Arvin L. Arieta, Mr. Jesus D. Guttierez and Mr. Alvin O. Ajero.
During the activity, safety instructions and protocols were discussed and then highlighted with the actual procedures. The drill is aimed to ensure awareness, safety and readiness for everyone should earthquake happens.
