SorSU officials engage on Day 2, Day 3 of 38th AACCUP Annual National Conference and General Assembly 2025

Sorsogon State University (SorSU) participating officials, headed by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, actively joined Day 2 of the 38th AACCUP Annual National Conference and General Assembly 2025 on March 6, 2025, at the Marikina Polytechnic College, Sta. Elena, Marikina City.

Day 2 formally began with Plenary Session 2: PASUC PRESIDENT’S TIME (Challenges and Opportunities for SUCs) by Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo (President, Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges), which also featured an open forum with PASUC members.


In addition, the second day likewise covered Plenary Session 3: ACHIEVING QUALITY ASSURANCE MILESTONES THROUGH COLLABORATION by Dr. Aphichart Rodchanarowan (Assistant to the President for Quality Development and Database System; Assoc. Prof. of the Department of Materials & Engineering – Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University – Bangkok, Thailand), emphasizing setting and tracking QA goals, collaborative approaches to problem-solving, and celebrating progress and achievements.


Further, Plenary Session 4: ADVANCEMENTS IN ADAPTIVE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES PATHWAYS TO QUALITY ASSURANCE, presented by Dr. Juan Robertino “Robbie” Macalde (Manager, Learning Development and Management Office – SEAMEO-INNOTECH), centered his discussions on emerging technologies in QA, preparation for QA challenges, and continuous learning and professional development. Day 2 concluded with Plenary Session 5: UPDATES ON AACCUP ACCREDITATION SYSTEM AND PROCESSES by Dr. Milabel E. Ho (Executive Director, AACCUP).


Meanwhile, Day 3 highlighted Plenary Session 6: ENGAGING STAKEHOLDERS IN QUALITY ASSURANCE INITIATIVES, which focused on techniques for active stakeholder participation, leveraging feedback for continuous improvement, and tools and platforms for effective engagement by Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis (Commissioner, Commission on Higher Education), along with the presentation of various awards, including Top Performing State Universities and College with the Highest Number of Programs Accredited (Levels 1 to 4), Top Performing SUCs in Level IV (Second Cycle), Institutional Accreditation Award, and the prestigious The Manuel T. Corpus QA Champion Award.
