Sorsogon State University (SorSU) successfully conducted an Exploratory Meeting with potential suppliers of merchandise featuring the SorSU-Owned Trademark on March 6, 2025, at the Old Boardroom, Sorsogon City Campus. The event, organized by the SorSU-Intellectual Property-Technology Business Management Unit, is an important step in the university’s effort to grow its intellectual property initiatives.

The event began with Mr. Asael Jared Gacosta (Supply and Property Officer) introducing the participants and Prof. Romeo Mendoza (Director, Business Affairs) explained the purpose of the activity. He emphasized how the collaboration would benefit both the university and the suppliers. Moreover, Ms. Jezzabie G. Gamis (Head, IPTBM) presented the licensing guidelines, and the terms and conditions necessary for entering into a licensing agreement with the university.


An open forum followed to address concerns. The event ended with a call to action, encouraging participants to formalize their partnership with SorSU through a Licensing Agreement.
