Sorsogon State University (SorSU) SUC President III, Geraldine F. De Jesus, attended the investiture rites of Dr. Redentor S. Palencia as the 4th University President of Samar State University (SSU) on February 13, 2025, at the SSU Gymnasium, Catbalogan, Samar.
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner and SSU BOR Chairperson Dr. Marita R. Canapi officiated the investiture ceremonies. Prof. Ma. Elena C. Demdam (Campus Director, SorSU-Bulan Campus) and Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza (Campus Director, SorSU-Magallanes Campus) also attended the event.
