SorSU President De Jesus presents accomplishment report at virtual 4th Quarter BOR regular meeting — highlights SorSU’s academic, scholarly achievements; underscores proactive responses before, during, and after typhoons’ onslaught
Chaired by CHED Commissioner Dr. Ethel Agnes Pascua-Valenzuela and attended by the honorable SorSU BOR members, the Sorsogon State University Governing Board of Regents (SorSU BOR) conducted its 4th Quarter regular meeting virtually on December 19, 2024.
In her presentation, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, emphasized SorSU’s academic and scholarly accomplishments, such as outstanding licensure examination results, remarkable placements of SorSUeno students in various national and international competitions, as well as global scholarly engagements and partnerships.
Additionally, SorSU President De Jesus likewise underscored the University’s steadfast commitment and proactive responses before, during, and after the onslaught of Typhoons Kristine and Pepito, which included offering classrooms as evacuation centers, organizing student-led relief operations, and volunteering for clean-up drives.
The agenda items were thoroughly reviewed and supported with relevant resolutions to effectively strengthen the University’s ongoing initiatives and undertakings in fulfilling its mandates and goals. (SorSU PIO)
