With immense pride, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) warmly congratulates its one hundred twenty-nine (129) newly Licensed Professional Teachers (LPTs) across its four campuses for successfully passing the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), held on March 23, 2025.

Notably, under the elementary level, the SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus achieved an overall performance rating of 83.33% (30 successful examinees) and a passing percentage of 90.32% for first-time takers. Meanwhile, the secondary level successfully earned a 75.00% rating (66 passers), with first-time takes attaining an 88.52% passing percentage.

Moreover, SorSU-Magallanes Campus obtained an overall passing percentage of 66.67% for first-time takers (elementary level). Its secondary level successful examinees recorded an overall rating of 75.00% (3 passers) and a passing percentage of 100% for first-time takers.

In addition, under the secondary level, SorSU-Bulan Campus garnered an overall rating of 63.16% (12 passers). Its first-time takers acquired an 87.50% passing percentage. SorSU-Castilla Campus successfully produced 16 new LPTs, with an overall passing rate of 78.57% for first-time takers.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 16,282 elementary teachers out of 34,810 examinees passed the elementary level, while a total of 34,747 secondary teachers out of 62,225 takers passed the secondary level. Impressively, SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus surpassed both the national passing percentage (NPP) of 46.77% for the elementary level and 62.27% for the secondary level. Bulan and Magallanes Campuses also exceeded the NPP for the secondary level.
