On December 18, 2024, the Sorsogon State University-Quality Assurance Office, headed by Dr. Jenet B. Fuentes (Director, SorSU QA), organized an orientation session on the Philippine Quality Award (PQA). Held at the SorSU Dormtel, Sorsogon City Campus, the event was focused on the discussion of the PQA framework, its standards, and application methodology.
In her message, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus emphasized the importance of quality, productivity, competence, and performance. She remarked, “We have to invest our dedication, expertise, diligent work, and our institution’s resources to achieve results for our university—an academic institution that will be on par with the best in the country—a lasting legacy we will leave behind for the next generation of our province.”
The orientation was attended by Dr. Ryan V. Dio (Vice President for Research, Extension and Training), Dr. Leny D. Berdin (Chief Administrative Officer-Finance Division), Dr. Ma. Sylisa J. Estur (Chief Administrative Officer-Administrative Division), Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus), Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza (Campus Director, Magallanes Campus), Dr. Susan S.
