SorSU ranks 7th among Top Performing Schools in LEPT – elementary level (90.91 %) — produces 253 new Licensed Professional Teachers (LPTs) across 4 campuses

In another testament to upholding the highest standards of quality education and academic excellence, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) outstandingly produced a total of 253 newly licensed professional teachers (LPT) after their successful performance in the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) conducted on September 29, 2024, and impressively ranked 7th among the Top Performing Schools in the elementary level nationwide.

As officially announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 20,025 out of 44,002 elementary teachers and 49,875 out of 85,926 secondary teachers successfully passed the licensure examination held across various testing centers in the Philippines and in Bangkok, Thailand.


Remarkably, SorSU – Sorsogon City Campus achieved an overall performance rating of 90.91% (70/77) for the elementary, hence notably seizing RANK 7th among the Best Performing Schools at the national level, with first-time takers earning a passing percentage of 91.89%. Further, the secondary level obtained a 79.46% (147/185) rating and a successful passing percentage of 90.07% for first-time takers.


Meanwhile, the overall passing rate of SorSU – Magallanes Campus for the elementary level is 66.67%. Its first-time takers garnered 100% (4/4) and 50% for elementary and secondary levels, respectively.


Moreover, SorSU – Castilla Campus attained an overall performance percentage of 55.88%, with first-time takers securing a rating of 66.67% for the secondary. In addition, SorSU – Bulan Campus gained a notable performance rating of 72.73% for first-time takers (secondary teachers).


Impressively, SorSU – Sorsogon City surpassed both the national passing percentage of 45.51% for the elementary level and 56.88% for the secondary level. Likewise, SorSU-Magallanes Campus exceeded the NPP for elementary teachers.
