SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for its Four Storey Administration Building

Headed by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, and graced by Hon. Marie Bernadette G. Escudero (1st District Representative, Sorsogon Province), a formal ceremonial groundbreaking event of the Sorsogon State University state-of-the-art four storey Administration Building was held last October 16, 2023, at the SorSU Parking Lot, Sorsogon City Campus.

SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, in her opening remarks, expressed her profound appreciation to Senator Francis Joseph “Chiz” G. Escudero, Cong. Marie Bernadette “Dette” G. Escudero, and all the other key individuals who were instrumental in the realization of the four-storey administration building of the University.

Meanwhile, during her inspirational message, Engr. Priscilla B. Jebulan (OIC, Sorsogon 1st District Engineering Office emphasized the firm support of the department to the institution’s projects and aspirations.

Likewise, Hon. Marie Bernadette G. Escudero (1st District Representative, Sorsogon Province) also delivered a message of support before the SorSU community, emphasizing that the remarkable endeavor is a testament to a shared commitment to elevate the name and status of the institution in terms of quality education and public service.

On the other hand, before the unveiling of the Administration Building Perspective, Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus) presented the overview (its history and significance) of the building.

Hon. Dette Escudero and Engr. Jebulan led the unveiling of the 𝘈𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦. This was subsequently followed by the highlight of the event — the groundbreaking proper, wherein a time capsule was buried along with the messages of aspirations from the attendees for the University.

The remarkable undertaking was also attended by SorSU Vice Presidents: Mr. Gerald E. Fulay (VPAF), Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (VPAA), and Dr. Ryan V. Dio (VPRET), together with Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza (Campus Director, SorSU-Magallanes Campus), Dr. Susan S.
