SorSU Spearheads Recognition Day 2023

To recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements and accomplishments of Sorsueño students on academic performance/education, regional and national competitions, conferences and fora, curricular & extra-curricular activities, student organizations & leadership, as well as those who brought honor and pride to the University in various fields, Sorsogon State University (SorSU), the 𝘗𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘗𝘶𝘴𝘰, spearheaded it’s 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑫𝒂𝒚 2023 on June 02, 2023, at SorSU Social Hall, Sorsogon City Campus, with the theme: “𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨.”

“𝘈𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘣𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘭𝘢 𝘯𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘯𝘢 𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘨 𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘩𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯, 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘰, 𝘵𝘪𝘺𝘢𝘨𝘢, 𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘶𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘦. 𝘒𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢-𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵𝘰. 𝘎𝘢𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘱𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘯𝘢 𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘥 𝘴𝘢 𝘪𝘯𝘺𝘰 𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘢 𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘪𝘯𝘺𝘰 𝘥𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘭 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘰 𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦. 𝘏𝘶𝘸𝘢𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘶𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘯𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘺 ‘𝘪𝘴𝘬𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯’. 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘬 𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘺𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘣𝘪 𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘸𝘢, 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘣𝘪 𝘴𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯.”

Prof. Maria Crisanta Mella-Jarque (Director, Student Development Services), in her opening remarks on a video presentation, emphasized to the students to always remember to give back to the community as ‘𝙞𝙨𝙠𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣’, concluding her message with a meaningful remark, “𝙇𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙖𝙣, 𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙤, 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩 𝙣𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙤.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, SorSU – Sorsogon City Campus), during his speech, highlighted that the unwavering pursuit for excellence of Sorsueño students created the bar for SorSU community and has made the 𝘗𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘗𝘶𝘴𝘰 proud.

Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto also expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the parents of the student awardees, faculty members, mentors, and support system that have guided the students along their remarkable journey.

In addition, the Deans of respective Colleges of the University, namely: Dr. Maria Luisa P. Mirasol (Dean, College of Business and Management); Engr. Rufu D. Durian III (Dean, College of Engineering and Architecture); Dr. Alfonso L. Garcia, Jr. (Dean, College of Teacher Education and Midwifery; and Prof. Christian Joy Herrera (Program Chair, Mechanical Technology) in lieu of Dr. Orlando D. Doncillo (Dean, College of Technology), along with Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto, presented the medals and certificates to the student awardees and recipients. (SorSU PIO)
