Upholding its commitment to responsive and student-centered service, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) once again implemented the early release of academic documents for graduating students, enabling them to receive their original Transcripts of Records (TORs) ahead of the commencement exercises.
The issuance of TORs began on June 4, 2026, across the university’s four campuses (Sorsogon City, Bulan, Castilla, and Magallanes), making this the third consecutive year that the institution has adopted the practice. Through the initiative, graduating students were able to obtain their records 5 days before graduation, giving them a valuable head start in pursuing employment opportunities and further studies.
The successful implementation of the initiative reflects the proactive leadership of SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, and the coordinated efforts of the Office of the University Registrar, headed by Mrs. Rosalie Ballatan-Gabito, in facilitating the advance processing and release of the academic records.
In addition to the advance release of TORs, diplomas were also prepared ahead of schedule and will be distributed on the day of the commencement exercises, allowing graduates to immediately receive another important academic credential upon completing their studies.
The early document release program highlights SorSU’s commitment to institutional efficiency and quality public service. By ensuring the timely and accessible delivery of academic services, the university strengthens its reputation as a student-centered institution. (SorSU PIO)
