Sorsogon State University (SorSU) takes great pride in the exemplary performance of its SorSUeno Dancesport athletes, Ms. Stephanie Marie H. Olivar (BSTM-4C) and Mr. Fernando S. Lagata Jr. (BT-Civil Technology 1B), in the recently concluded 1st Quarter Bicol Grassroots Dancesport Tournament – Ranking Point System, remarkably bagging the 2nd Place/Silver Award in the Inter-Collegiate Latin A Category, held last February 8, 2025, at the Pacific Mall, Legazpi City, Albay.
The University also extends its commendation and appreciation to the students’ dedicated coach/trainer, Mr. Tomas M. Encinares, Jr., for his commitment, guidance, and mentorship.
Prof. Lizel D. Lerios was also present at the tournament, expressing her support for the SorSUeno contenders.
Once again, congratulations to our remarkable student-dancers, Stephanie & Fernando, and their coach, Mr. Encinares, Jr., on this well-deserved recognition. Their hard work and dedication, supported by coach Encinares’ invaluable guidance, not only bring pride and honor to the University but also inspire fellow SorSUenos to pursue their passions in arts/sports with determination.
