In full compliance with the prescribed minimum requirements stipulated in CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 62, s. 2017, titled “Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management Program,” Sorsogon State University (SorSU) – Sorsogon City Campus has been officially granted the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by the Commission on Higher Education – Regional Office V (CHED-ROV) to offer Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management Program, effective Academic Year (AY) 2025-2026.
Per CMO No. 62, s. 2017, the BSTM program is designed to equip students with essential skills to effectively perform operational tasks and management functions in the following key areas: food production (culinary), accommodation, food and beverage service, tourism planning and product development, transportation services, travel and tour operations, and other emerging sectors of the tourism industry.
In a notable achievement, the College of Business and Management (CBM) is now 100% COPC-compliant across its program offerings, which include:
