One-Day College Admission Test (SorSU-CAT) successfully rolled-out by SorSU

A total of 11,756 registered examinees proceeded to the four campuses of the Sorsogon State University (SorSU) to take the College Admission Test (CAT) last February 11, 2023.

According to the SorSU Admission Services Unit, the registered examinees per campus were 7,452 (Sorsogon City), 2,552 (Bulan), 1,161 (Castilla), and 591 (Magallanes), respectively.

Likewise, the number of actual examinees who took the CAT is 7,037 (Sorsogon City), 2,420 (Bulan), 1,075 (Castilla), and 558 (Magallanes), with a total number of 11,090 actual examinees, which corresponds to 94.33% turnout.

All SorSU campuses simultaneously welcomed the early morning influx of future SorSUeños as faculty and non-teaching staff assigned as chief examiners and examiners prepared classrooms, test booklets, and answer sheets for the said event.

The huge number of students in the university guaranteed that the SorSU – Health, Safety & Security, and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Units be present and on alert status to ensure that the standard health and safety protocols were observed during the examination. (SorSU PIO)
