Turnitin Similarity with Originality Instructor Training

The Publication and Knowledge Management Unit under the Office of Research, Extension, and Training of Sorsogon State University invites all SorSU faculty members, non-teaching staff, Graduate School, and undergraduate students with ongoing research to participate in the Turnitin Similarity with Originality Instructor Training.
This training aims to strengthen academic integrity and promote the proper use of Turnitin as a formative tool to enhance research and writing outcomes.
Participants will learn to:
- Define plagiarism and academic misconduct
- Differentiate between plagiarism and text similarity
- Recognize expected similarity matches and the factors that increase similarity in a Similarity Report
- Identify plagiarism in a Similarity Report
- Understand the appropriate processes to follow if plagiarism is detected
- Utilize Turnitin as a formative tool to improve writing outcomes
- Create a Turnitin assignment
