A distinguished international delegation from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM): Dr. Shazida Jan Mohd Khan (Executive Director – Cooperative and Entrepreneurship Development Institute, UUM) & Dr. Juhaida Binti Abu Bakar (Deputy Director – Cooperative and Development Institute, UUM), and Sociopreneur Indonesia: Dr. Dessy Aliandrina (Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Sociopreneur Indonesia) & Ms. Clarissa Amadhea (Co-Lead, Sociopreneur Indonesia) paid a courtesy visit to SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, on November 28, 2024, at the Office of the President.
Further, they were joined by officials from the Small Enterprises Research and Development Inc. (SERDEF), headed by Prof. Melchor C. Morandante (President, SERDEF), together with Prof. Edgar S. Barrameda (BOT, SERDEF), Dr. Nino Martin Obrero (BOT, SERDEF), and Prof. Juan Raul Relloso (Member, SERDEF). The visitors were courteously accompanied by Dr. Ana Cristina G. Fortes (Director, Extension and Training Services) and Engr. Ivy Rose B. Gonzales (Director, Research and Development).
Following the courtesy visit, the delegates participated in an exploratory meeting with SorSU officials, focusing on potential entrepreneurship education and research collaborations. In addition, they are also scheduled to deliver insightful lectures and discussions at the Entrepreneurship and Business Students’ Summit 2024 on November 29, 2024, at the SorSU Audio-Visual Hall.
