WATCH BS Agriculture – Crop Science students immerse in experiential learning and meaningful connection

WATCH| On May 16, 2025, the vibrant fields of SorSU Castilla became living classrooms as BS Agriculture – Crop Science students immersed themselves in a full day of experiential learning and meaningful connection.

What made the experience truly meaningful was the gracious visit of SorSU President, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus. With sleeves rolled up and a warm, encouraging smile, Ma’am Giggy joined the students in the rice fields, harvesting, threshing, and engaging in thoughtful conversations about the delicate balance of nature, crop readiness, and the many lessons the land offers.

Ma’am Giggy’s visit also included the campus poultry area, further reflecting her support for hands-on learning and agricultural excellence. The day concluded with the heartfelt sharing of rice porridge with the community, a simple yet sincere gesture that embodied unity, compassion, and SorSU’s enduring commitment to nurturing both the land and the lives it sustains.
